“ SEEFOOD began from a place of observation, as much of my work does, and from years spent working in restaurants. I come from a culture where hospitality is not performative but instinctive; there is no asking whether someone is hungry, only offering more. Within service, I witnessed the full range of human behavior: generosity and rudeness, care and performance, intimacy and distance. What draws me as an artist is that, regardless of who sits at the table, we share the same essential need: to eat. That simple act, universal and essential, reveals people in ways few things can. That’s where this work began.”

SEEFOOD functions as an ongoing archive and living project. It values slowness, continuity, and presence, allowing stories to unfold over time rather than through singular moments. Through this approach, the work seeks to honor the humanity embedded in everyday rituals of work and gathering.
